Frequently Asked Questions
What does “underestimated” mean?
We encourage all founders who identify as a person of color, LGBTQ+, anyone who has been impacted by the criminal justice system and other underestimated groups to apply.
I don’t think I fit the criteria as underestimated. Can I still apply?
No. This grant is designed to unlock resources that aren’t normally accessible for people with this lived experience. Stay tuned for other opportunities at Reclamation Ventures that might fit yours.
What stage does my company have to be at?
For our impact grants, your company has to be centered in the wellness industry, launched and have validated impact based on your business model which is outlined in the grant application. Further details for our fund will be announced when we’re ready to pursue investments.
Your business can be a for-profit or nonprofit.
What type of business model is eligible?
Do I have to spend the money on my business?
No. Each Impact Grant will be written to the entrepreneur themselves, not their organization, and the funds can be used to improve their well-being, or invest in their company. Either way, we’ll follow up to hear how the funds supported.
Can I split this between several founders?
The Impact Grants are gifted to one individual, so we encourage each founder to apply for themselves, and a grant may be given to only one.
Can I apply on behalf of someone else?
No. But we encourage you to share this opportunity with them.
